According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, and nearly 20 Americans die from melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer — every day. Yet when caught early, skin cancer is highly treatable. Screening is for patients who do not currently have a dermatologist.
