Harpswell Corner Market is a new business located at the site of the former Vegetable Corner. The store has been a gathering spot for locals as well as visitors to the area for many years, with people stopping by for coffee and baked goods, or groceries and a chat closer to home. Harpswell Corner Market plans to build on this history and bring the community a market filled with local produce and necessary groceries, as well as delicious pastries and sandwiches.

We are looking to hire a small team for our inaugural summer, and interested in people to help us manage the market and/or work as a member of the baking team. We are currently still looking for help in both roles. 

• As a member of the market team you will help us manage customer and vendor (often local farmer) relationships, products and inventory, as well as community outreach and various other aspects of the retail operations.
• As a member of the baking team you will work with 1-2 experienced chefs to create and prepare a selection of pastries, sandwiches, salads and other items. Some things will be repeat favorites and we also plan to experiment with seasonal items throughout the summer.

We will be opening in mid-May and plan to run seasonally through mid-September. Store hours will be 8am-5pm. We are looking for part-time as well as full-time help and willing to be flexible for the right person to join the HCM team.
